Executive Chef Bismarck Hernandez

Bismarck’s passion for cooking began as a young boy helping his grandmother at her restaurant in Nicaragua—from cleaning fish to stealing bites of her garlic shrimp when she wasn’t looking, his love affair with turning the freshest, locally sourced ingredients into beautiful dishes began! After graduating from the culinary program at Escuela Bellart in Barcelona, Spain, Bismarck worked as a Chef in restaurants and hotels all over Europe, the Caribbean, and Latin America before settling in Northern Virginia. While food from the Spanish and Italian regions are his personal favorites, he has professional experience working with cuisines from all over the world—from large Michelin starred restaurants to small, local cafes in many different countries.
